The jailbreaking tools have not just been increased but grown in number of developers over time. In order to make it easier for developers to contribute to the existing jaibreaking tools, the original developers have decided to go open source.
Initially, the popular Redsn0w and Greenpo1s0n’s code is to be revealed as confirmed by the iPhone and Chronic Dev Teams. The Twitter updates from the members of the teams revealed:
This step is naturally appreciated much by the jailbreak community as it will accelerate the development of the applications that Apple doesn’t approve from their App Store. Remember, the tools were recently updated to support untethered jailbreak of almost all iOS devices including iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV.
