The Huawei Ideos X5 and Ideos X6 Android smartphones have been released for the Australian markets. The devices feature high-end specifications and large displays to fully comprehend the Android experience. The initial specifications hints at internals matching other Froyo based Android smartphones.
Huawei Ideos X6:
The Ideos X6 is going to be Huawei’s highest Android offering featuring 1GHz processor, 4.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with WVGA resolution, support for HSPA network (14.4Mbps), HDMI port, 5-MP rear camera with HD 720p video recording and LED flash, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS support and Dolby mobile surround sound. It will be running Android 2.2 Froyo; Gingerbread might be available as update later. The details regarding pricing and market availability and not revealed for now.
Huawei Ideos X5:
The Ideos X5 also provides adequate hardware to run Android 2.2 Froyo with a smaller 3.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 5MP rear camera, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity support making it more suitable for general use. The device is expected to be priced lower than X6, however, we’re still awaiting the announcement of the pricing details.
