How to Enable WiFi Tethering on iPhone running iOS 4

Tethering was a much awaited feature for iPhones running iOS 4 that provides internet sharing for the iPhone with your laptop or PC. The new firmware supports this feature, however, most operators choose to disable it by default. The “MyWi” application is now updated to version 4.0 that enables internet tethering on jailbroken idevices.


You can jailbreak your current device by reading this guide and then follow the instruction below.

  • Open Cydia and search for “MyWi 4.0”.
  • Install this application along with “RockApp”.
  • Start MyWi and and turn on the option for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth tethering.


However, this is not a free app and you’ll have to pay $19.99 for the full version while the existing users can get the new version for $9.99 premium. You can ofcourse try this app for 10 days trail before purchasing.
