The CDMA capable iPhone 4, ready for Verizon’s network have reportedly started production in Foxxconn and Pegatron’s plants. According to Digitimes, the Cupertino based Apple Inc. has awarded the contracts to build the smartphone to two of the largest Asian manufacturers.
Detailing the agreement, the source mentions that 15 Million devices are to be made by Foxxconn while 10 Million are to be produced by Pegatron in parallel, in order to meet the high expected demands. The Pegatron Technology is also rumored to be hiring 10,000 more personnel in order to meet the demands in time.
However this news is yet to confirmed by any official sources. There is also a possibility of a dual-network capable iPhone 4 that can switch between GSM and CDMA but possibly locked to work with AT&T and Verizon. However there could be no confirmations until the official release from the company.
