Dell Announces Precision M6500 Core-i7 based Workstation

Dell has released details of a new workstation from the Precision line-up dubbed Precision M6500 that supports high end Intel Core-i7 processors along with updated hardware.

The notebook gives option for Intel Core-i7 Quad Core and Core-i7 Extreme processors which bring desktop level performance to this notebook. Along with the CPU performance, the notebook gives option for up to 16GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM to handle complex programs with ease. There are three drive-bays with each supporting either a 500GB hard drive or a 256GB SSD.

The notebook has a 17-inch display with LED backlighting that gives 1920×1200 screen resolution with vibrant and bright colors. To support high-end processing, Dell has included Nvidia Quadro FX 3800M 1GB or ATI FirePro M7740 1GB graphics adapters to handle visual intensive tasks. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n with optional WWAN support. There is Bluetooth 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, eSATA ports with  several USB 2.0 ports, an 8-in-1 card reader, Express Card 54 slot and option between DVD Burner and Blu-Ray Drive. The workstation has dimensions of 15.4 x 11 x 1.35 inches and weighs about 8.5lbs. There is a 9-cell battery to power the high end hardware. The Laptop can be ordered from Dell’s website.
