Black Ops: Top 5 Cheats, Codes and Secrets

By | December 13th, 2010

The first thing you will need to do before doing most of these cheats is to access Cheat Mode. At the main Menu use the right analog-stick to look down at your hands (which are tied up). Press R2+L2 (PS3), RT+LT (X-Box), Spacebar (PC) repeatedly until you break out of the chair. This will give you the secret achievement “Just Ask Me Nicely”. Once you have broken free navigate yourself to an area behind the chair where you will find an old computer terminal that you can use to access the Central Intelligence Agency Data System. From here you can type in codes to unlock secrets and hidden features.

5. Characters Info and Facts

This cheat is pretty cool because it allows you to access information on lots of different characters that you meet and see throughout the game. Logging in as a certain character will provide you with information and interesting facts that you did not know about the characters. Enter the code “login” as a command at the computer terminal. You will then be asked to login with an account. Here are their names, usernames and passwords:

4. Easter Egg: Changing the Music

I love this Easter egg. If I am playing zombies or multiplayer and need a bit of an adrenaline rush I just activate one of these songs in zombies’ mode and away I go:

Don’t Back Down by Eminem – Zombie Mode

During the zombies map “Five”, go to the red telephones and hit the button prompted. This will change the background music to “Don’t Back Down” by Eminem. All in all there are 3 red telephones which all must be activated to make the song start.

  1. On the first floor next to the quick revive.
  2. Near the power switch.
  3. In the VIP room.

Sympathy For the Devil” by The Rolling Stones – Multiplayer Only

During the map nuketown if you shoot all off the mannequin head within 15 seconds the music will be changed to “Sympathy For the Devil” by The Rolling Stones.

155 by Elena Siegman – Zombie Mode

During the Zombie map “Kino Der Toten” there are 3 pieces of meteorite located in the map. The first is by the stairs when you start the level. The second is in the boiler room. The third is in the dressing room. Press the corresponding button when next to the piece and your character will say something about the meteor. When you have found all 3 pieces the song “155” by Elena Siegman will play.

3. Campaigns Secret Hidden Message

This Easter egg is not very well know and is one that is very hard to describe what to do. So I’ll instead re-direct you to my other article which has a video that I found on YouTube which explains the whole thing. In brief, the hidden message is a series of words that are found at the start of each mission and make a secret message if you put all of the first letters from each word together.

2. Two Hidden Mini-Games

Using the Computer terminal (explanation on how to get to it at the top of the page) you are able to unlock two cool mini-games which you can play through the computer terminal. Here are the codes which you must enter into the terminal.

Alicia Game

Enter the code “ALICIA” into the computer terminal to unlock the Alicia virtual therapist game.

Zork Game

Enter the code “ZORK” or “HELLO SAILOR” into the computer terminal to unlock the Zork: The Great Underground Empire which is a text-based adventure game. Playing Zork will gain you the achievement “Eaten By AGrue”

1. Unlocking all Zombie Maps, Dead Ops Arcade Game and Mission Select

This was the best cheat for me because it allowed me to skip ahead boring missions in the campaign and it also freed up the other Zombie maps which meant that I could tell my mates and we could all play on these awesome maps together. “Five” is my favourite zombie map because it’s more modern and I just love the way the characters are done in it.

Enter the code “3ARC UNLOCK” into the computer terminal to unlock Mission Select, Zork Game, “Five” zombies map, Dead Ops Arcade Game.
