Solving Did not Find Repository Error in iPhone

By | March 30th, 2010

After installing Cydia through Blackra1n, I encountered the following error every time I tried to add a source. I tried many different and famous sources but was getting the same error. And trust me, this is very annoying especially when you couldn’t find any solution from the internet. All the forums are filled with the same question but no one has been able to give the accurate solution.

Did not find Repository
The indicated repository could not be found. This could be because you are trying to add a legacy installer repository (these are not supported). Also, this interface is only capable of working with exact repository URL’s. If you host a repository and are having issues please contact the author of Cydia with any questions you have.

To solve the error you need to do the following steps:

  1. First try adding sources using a different WiFi, preferably one with less response time and more bandwidth.
  2. Secondly, you might need to re-install the cydia (select complete installation).
