Opera is planing to release the Mini version of their browser that will be compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch. Opera claims that the new browser for iPhone will give six times faster download speed as compare to Apple’s own Safari browser. Moreover it will be better, lighter and efficient than the Safari and will be available on the App Store.
One obvious problems is that whether Apple will allow the app for iPhone or not? Apple certainly don’t want to lose their monopoly and for the same reason they don’t give flash support on these handheld devices. But Opera seems to have no worry regarding the approval of the app as if it’s taken care of. If Apple approves Opera mini, then this would open a new door and who knows Firefox Mobile, fennec, lands on App Store someday.
