Nokia Lumia 920 to be announced soon, wireless charging
By Farrukh Anwar | September 4th, 2012Nokia plans to announce and pump up their Lumia series with their planned edition of 920 which will feature futuristic features. Having said that Nokia is keen on introducing – for the very first time “wireless charging”. Along with that, Lumia 920 will be a 32GB model boasting an 8 Megapixel camera and a dual core processor.
According to source, Lumia will be Nokia’s flagship phone – considering the fact that it boasts excellent hardware – along with that the latest Windows phone 8 will pump its sales as well. The charging will work by inductively, as to aligning it to charging pad will charge it, this method gives other accessories a chance as well as Nokia suggests that Qi wireless power stand will be supported as well. The sketches or “drawings” of the device shows that it will probably feature a 4.5” screen and will also be a pure view phone.
Not the 41 megapixel pure view, but it will get the branding nonetheless. Along with the rear 8 megapixel camera, a front 1.3 megapixel camera will also be there for video calling and quick snaps. As rest of the features go here is a short list of what we know so far.
Technical specifications
- 1 GB RAM
- 1.5 GHz Dual core processor
- 4.5” HD screen
- Wireless charging
- NFC support
- 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera
The specifications are good, but we are unsure whether Nokia has done enough to tag it with “flagship” tag. The wireless charging is an innovation and might be the selling point – but as the story goes for nearly all the device pricing is crucial – a bit too high would mean the competition will shine.
