Previously we have seen iPhone working as a Universal Remote control, but that attachment was bulky, almost one fourth the size of iPhone itself. Recently ThinkFlood has announced an attachment named RedEye Mini for iPhone and iPod Touch that connects to your device using headset port. The RedEye mini is a small cylindrical attachment that transmits infra red radiation enabling your iPhone to act as a remote control for TV, DVR, stereo and other such devices.
The RedEye mini is an advancement over the company’s previous device known as RedEye. Technically, it uses the headset jack for connectivity freeing your 30 pin connector. Moreover it provides a range of up to 30 feet and requires no battery whatsoever. The RedEye mini can be purchased from ThinkFlood’s website for $49.
