Good news for iOS developers as they can access and download iOS 4.2 for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The release is currently in beta state and final version will be available in November 2010. The update is compatible will 2G, 3G and 4G iPod Touches as well as with iPhone 3G and 3GS. As for iPad users, they now get to have Multitasking, Folders, AirPrint and many other cool features making their iPad less like a gigantic iPhone and more like a fully functional PC.

Engadget reports that there isn’t any drain of resources or lag while running multitasking on iPad. Moreover the Folder feature helps shrink your multiple Springboard pages into more compact and beautiful display, just like a PC. AirPrint feature added in iOS 4.2 allows you to send print commands to printer via internet. According to press release by Apple, the first printer to support AirPrint will be HP ePrint Printer series.

Unfortunately, only the developers enrolled in iPhone Development Program can access these beta releases. The iOS 4.2 will get out of beta and will be available for public in November 2010 (free of cost).
