HTC Sense 3.0 Review

By | April 15th, 2011

HTC Sense 3.0 is the newest user interface for HTC mobile phones. Due to its healthy hardware requirements, Sense 3.0 is limited to Flyer, EVO 3D, Sensation and newer handsets. A market strategy? We don’t think so (we take HTC word for it) and neither would you after seeing HTC Sense 3.0 UI in action.

Sense 3.0 takes the user experience to a whole new level with eye opening widgets and graphics. The most notable is the weather widget which shows a beautiful 3D effect on the device showing rainy, sunny, cloudy, thunderstorm and so on. It gives you enough information that you can become a weather reporter. You can view the hourly change in temperature, detailed weather condition and five day forecast.

Then you have the people widget, music widget and watch widget aimed towards increasing your social and entertainment experience on the device. You can rent/buy movies using the watch widget and view them on your phone/tablet. Using the power of dual-core hardware, you can slide on timeline while watching HD movies without any lag. Everythings seems so smooth about Sense 3.0.

The lock screen is also a new experience in sense 3.0. To access any application in lock screen you need to drag it to the circle at the bottom of the screen. The lock screen animates your social media updates, for example from twitter and Facebook. The sense also allows instant snapshot feature minimizing delay between your touching the camera button and the photo being taken.

These are few of many features the new sense interface has to offer. For more information, watch the videos below:
