The newest Android powered tablet, the HTC flyer can now be pre-ordered at Carphone Warehouse for £599.99 or $980 without contract or a SIM card. However the the deliveries are being expected to be around May.

It runs Android 2.3 with HTC Sense UI on a 1.5 GHz single-core processor and 1 GB RAM. It boasts a 7 inch touch screen display and a 5 Megapixel camera capable of brilliant stills and even 720p HD video; it also has a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera. It comes equipped with Wi-Fi which allows Wi-Fi printing, Bluetooth and GPS.

What makes this device different from the dozen already on the market is that it comes with a stylus, called the HTC Flyer’s magic pen which allows you to scribble notes on the reasonably sized display; it can also be used to paint, draw and do touchups on photos.

You are probably used to getting flyer for free, but this one costs about $980, is it really worth all that cash? Well that is for you to decide, currently the cheapest Android powered tablet you can get your hands on is the B&N Nook Color, yes it’s an e-reader but you can actually install Android on it. [Source]
