Honeycomb beats Gingerbread in Adobe Air’s Performance Test
By Jawad Masood | November 29th, 2010A website, AirBenchmark, dedicated for benching Adobe Air on Android devices has recently performed benchmarks on Nexus One using Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) builds. That tells one thing that both the versions of the operating system are almost cooked and will be released shortly. The benchmark score of Android 2.3 was 301 points while Android 3.0 topped to 584. Pretty awesome? Yeah, but this tells nothing as neither of these two are final builds, so there can always be last minute tweaks that will change the scores.
The aim of the website to test Adobe Air’s performance on different devices and report back to Adobe so that they can tweak their software for those devices that are giving less scores.
Keep in mind that these benches are on Nexus One, not the latest yet-to-be-released Nexus S by Samsung. We can’t wait to see the performance analysis on Nexus S (with enhanced hardware) that will be better optimized for Android platform. Source: Android Police
