Google Olympics Doodles

By | August 9th, 2012

We can’t get a break from Google; they are now giving you a chance to experience Olympic Games on your browser. Google in their main page has always displayed useful information considering the events taking place of that took place in history. Now it seems that Olympics is their hot favorite. They started these game doodles with “Google Hurdle” where you have to complete a set of hurdles to finish the race. In the end of the race you are awarded 1-3 stars based on the time you put up.

Next up was the basketball game, one of my favorite; Slam down as many baskets as you can in 30 seconds using “Spacebar” or mouse button to control the intensity you hit it with. The distance between you and the hoops will increase as you score more buckets.

And today, a new doodle, canoeing; use right and left arrows you will be able to paddle through the course while avoiding the obstacles in your path. The obstacles will slow you down and affect your finishing time.

Olympics are due to end on 12th August 2012, these small mini games from Google are a clever addition to their arsenal, they have always interacted with the user; this however is a rather unique way, in a good sense. You can access these doodle by simply going to , on top of the search field you will see a doodle, hover your mouse over it and a play button will appear press it and you are good to go. You can go to doodle page directly as well to see all current and previous doodles by Google.
